Reading a report is not enough

A genomic report may list many variants. Deciding which are clinically meaningful requires clinical history, pathology, imaging and knowledge of the current evidence.

A molecular tumor board brings these perspectives into one discussion so that interpretation is deliberate rather than automatic.

What comes out of it

The output is an interpretation: which findings appear relevant, which are of uncertain significance, and what options may be worth discussing with the patient.

The treating clinician and the patient make the final decision together.
