Treatments
Administered according to the treating oncologist's protocol, with pre-medication, observation and post-infusion review.
Infusion of immune checkpoint inhibitors and related agents with monitoring for infusion reactions.
Oral and intravenous targeted agents given or supervised in the day care setting where appropriate.
Anti-emetic support, hydration, blood product support coordination and symptom-directed care around treatment visits.
Vital signs and infusion sites are observed throughout the visit, and any reaction is escalated immediately.
The environment
Infusions are administered by nurses trained in oncology protocols and extravasation management.
Each visit is documented, and observations are shared with the treating team so the plan stays current.
The unit is equipped and staffed to recognise and respond to infusion reactions and treatment-related emergencies.
Before and after treatment, patients and families are guided on what to expect and when to seek help.
Day care visits are scheduled during clinic hours: Monday – Saturday, 11:00 AM – 6:00 PM; Sunday, Closed.
CAR-T cell therapy and other cellular therapies are not routine day care treatments. They require specialised infrastructure, protocol-specific monitoring and, in most cases, inpatient care at an authorized cellular-therapy centre. Day care may still be used for supportive treatment around such a pathway, when the treating team considers it appropriate.
About CAR-T cell therapyQuestions
Chemotherapy, immunotherapy and certain targeted therapies can be administered in day care, along with supportive oncology care such as anti-emetic support and hydration. Whether a specific protocol is suitable for day care is decided by the treating oncologist.
It depends on the protocol. Some infusions take under an hour; others, with pre-medication and observation, can take most of the day. The team confirms the expected duration when your visit is scheduled.
Infusions are administered by experienced oncology nurses, with treatment monitoring throughout the visit and escalation pathways in place for infusion reactions or other emergencies.
In most cases yes, but it depends on the protocol. You will receive specific preparation instructions — including any medicines to take or pause — when your appointment is confirmed.
Bring your treatment file or protocol, recent reports, a list of current medicines, and something to keep you comfortable during the infusion. A family member or attendant is welcome.

Cancer care does not necessarily end when active treatment finishes. Survivorship care may address long-term treatment effects, cardiovascular and metabolic health, bone health, nutrition, function and appropriate cancer surveillance. It works alongside the follow-up arranged by the treating team.
